Another School Year Comes to an End...

It's been a great year for our kids! They were Blessed with AMAZING teachers and have grown so much intellectually and socially =) For this we are truly grateful! I really believe teachers make a huge difference in a child's life and are so underpaid! boo!

For these gems in our children's lives, i made these little gifts of appreciation.

For Nina's violin Teacher, i made a set of cards to thank her for sharing her love of music. In a years time, Nina has progressed very well and we are all very proud of her :)

Using my scraps of DP, we came up with this colorful birthday card =) I'm not too happy with the outcome, it wasn't cut as sharply as i would've wanted it, but i hope the recipient won't mind :)

DD and I have been creating these little critters and enjoying every minute of it!! She likes to name each one too. I also ordered a matching stamp set from mypinkstamper found here. TOO CUTE!

Yesterday, i was delighted to open my mail box and see a package from my gf Claudette! So thoughtful of her to send stuff for the whole family :)

She even went so far as to send my dh a congratulatory card with the coin for his promotion! Oh, but it didnt end there... they (Mike, Claud and Roxy baby) also included a GC to Red Lobster!! Yum-O!! You know me well Peks, DOMO ARIGATO!!

Get Well Kyra and an Easter Tag

I recently purchased this digi called Sick Lily from Pink Cat Studio so that Nina (dd) could make a get-well card for her friend Kyra. I love PCS images and they've really expanded their line of digis, so hop on over there and grab some!!

I was just using up some of my DP scraps and came up with this card.

Also, i needed to make quick tags for these candles i made for dd's teacher and bus driver.

I used the Terrific Tulips set from Stampin Up to make the chick, and the HAPPY EASTER from the All Year Cheer set, also from SU!

My First OCS

This month was the first time i accidentally joined an OCS given by Teri. I say accidentally because i didn't know that when i left a comment, it automatically put me on the OCS list. But, it was the best thing ever and i met a sweet lady - DORI TSUKAMOTO =) This was her 3rd swap. I sent her the Billy Card from PCS and she sent me the easel card pictured above - VERY CUTE! This OCS thing is pretty fun as you get the opportunity to meet such creative people!

Spring is Here!

Aaaccccchhhhoooo! Spring is here! It actually came early this year in WA, but no complaints here! It's been beautiful!

Today was my son's last day of Pre-school before Spring Break, so i made these SUPER EASY gifts for his teacher to celebrate the arrival of Spring and soon, Easter :)

These are horrible pictures as you can't really see the project, but it's just a simple vanilla candle wrapped with a strip of cardstock and dp, topped off with Prima Silk Flowers and a brad in the middle to hold it all together =) I threw in some Hershey Chocolate Eggs, tied the celo bag with Pink Gingham ribbon, green ric-rac, and made the tag from the Easter Egg Chicks digital image from Pink Cat Studios. Voila! Easy peasy Lemon Squeezee!!

So i finally finished this project! Claud was laughing at me because i wanted to just throw the cards in a cellophane bag, tie a ribbon around it and call it a day! I'm so sleepy... but i managed to put a box together to hold the cards and envelopes. I still threw it in a bag though =) And added a little "T" for Terrie, sticky note pad =) Ok... for realz now... off to bed...zzzzzzzz...

I've always wanted to make one of these, and what better time than now to get a jump start on Spring Cleaning?! It was SUPER easy to make! The original idea called for Hemasote board... but no one knew what i was talking about when i went on the hunt for it at Home Depot and other craft stores! So i went with a canvas board instead :)

Finally!! I get to visit Forks and do the Twilight Tour!! I am SO excited!

My fellow twi-hards, Elizabeth, Carmen and Dolly will be joining me :) It's a little less than 4 hours away, including Ferry, and it'll all be worth it :) We even have reservations at Bella Italia!! Mushroom Ravioli here we come!!

To mark the occasion, i've made these simple souvenirs for my travel buddies. WalMart is selling these Twilight inspired Sweethearts - (literally) How Yummy!

Fall is definitely in the air! My favorite season!!

Been busy preparing the kids treats for their classmates for Halloween. This year i have to make 60! Wish i had all the time in the world, but lately, Nina and JJ have been sick... and oh so demanding :( Motherhood...

So anyway, i just wanted to thank my rockstar gf Claudette for the cutie blogwear!! AND the birthday gift she sent me :) It was on my wishlist! Yipee! There were cookies and Japanese kitkat, but that's long gone now! DOMO ARIGATO GOZAIMASU!! Oishi ne!

So it's been 23 days since my last post - PATHETIC, i know. I was SUPER busy over the summer that i barely had time to even catch my breath! And now that the visitors have all left, i get to bust out all my stuff and do some serious crafting!

So here it is:

The box is from KiyomiKrafts with Islander Girls measurements :) Domo! In this box you're able to fit 3x3 cards and envelopes - perfect for those quick gifts!

The copics you see in the one picture is from Claud - all the new colors :) LOVE IT! A rememberance from her trip back to the motherland of copics! Lucky Ducky!

The shaker card was a trial for Nina's buddy Elyse. She turned 5 last weekend and it was a BEAUTIFUL garden Party!! Kudos to Mommy Caroline and Daddy Chad! Great Job!

Hi all! Sorry for the lack of posts! Good thing it was a cold gloomy day today, was finally able to craft a bit and catch up! Thanks for the award again Claud!

Here is the card we made in Copic class last month. We used watercolor paper, blender fluid and copics for a water color effect. Liann did a better job with her card :) We also used color pencils over the copics for highlights. TFL!

Gosh... it's been ages since i've crafted! My craft Buddy Liann has been sick, poor thing... and i've been busy preparing for my son's bday... and making valances for the kids rooms. I think i'm getting the hang of this sewing thing. No bloody fingers yet...
